2009 NFRA ‘Right4America’ Convention | October 23-25

You are invited to register for the 2009 National Federation of Republican Assemblies “Right4America” Convention!

This year, for our bi-annual conference scheduled October 23-25, we are meeting in beautiful Reno, Nevada. Our hosts, the Nevada Republican Assembly, have been hard at work for months ironing out schedules, lodging, events, and more for your enjoyment!

The list of speakers and panel members is still being finalized, but I can drop a few names right now (in no particular order):

Grover Norquist – President of Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), Chairman of the NFRA Economic Policy Committee, and the President of the District of Columbia Republican Assembly.

Floyd Brown – Chairman of the Western Center for Journalism, President of Excellentia Inc., a consulting company specializing in communications strategy and the marketing of ideas, and formerly served as the Executive Director of Young America’s Foundation.

Chris Simcox – Founder and President of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, a national grassroots organization leading the fight to secure the U.S. border against illegal immigration, drug trafficking and terrorist encroachment.

Bruce Walker – Contributor to American Thinker and author.

Kellyanne Conway – President and CEO of WomenTrend, attorney, nationally recognized commentator, and author.

Mike Huckabee – Former Arkansas governor, host of HUCKABEE on the Fox News Channel, and author.

I think you will be very pleased at what we have lined up for you, from an amazing group of speakers, incredible events, a chance to compare notes on grassroots tactics, and time to connect with Republican Assembly members from around the country.

Hey, we’re even giving you the opportunity to let Harry Reid know exactly what you think of him and his Leftist policies! You can’t beat that with a stick!

This convention is going to be amazing. The hotel, the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, is phenomenal. The dinner cruise on Lake Tahoe prior to convention will take your breath away!

What’s not to love? Register for convention today!

P.S. Forward this to all of your Conservative friends! Let’s pack the house!

Gov. Mitt Romney Compares President Obama to Jimmy Carter

Carter20Over the weekend, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, and prospective 2012 presidential candidate, spoke at the annual “Values Voters Summit” hosted by FRCAction.org in Washington, DC.

Romney talked about Obama’s leadership style as President:

“I’ll bet you never dreamed you would look back at Jimmy Carter as the good old days.”

House Minority Leader John Boehner also spoke.

“What we’ve seen this year in Washington is nothing short of breathtaking. And when I look back over the last eight months of these new majorities in the congress and the policies coming out of the White House, all I can do to sum this up is to say that my colleagues, my Democrat colleagues, are bankrupting America.”

MA Republican Assembly General Meeting | September 27

frankWe usually only cover Rhode Island politics, but since this event is nearby — and like all good Republicans — we have a strong interest in getting rid of Rep. Barney Frank in 2010, we’re passing this along.

The Massachusetts Republican Assembly is holding a luncheon at 1:00 PM, on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at the Wellesley College campus.

The MARA’s special guest speaker will be Earl Henry Sholley, Republican candidate for Congress, who will be challenging Rep. Barney Frank in 2010. He will be speaking on the topic is “What is the future for Conservative Republicans in Massachusetts?”

The cost is $20 per person and includes a delicious Buffet Lunch.

Please RSVP to Helen Hatch at helen_hatch [at] yahoo [dot] com

Following the event, there will be a general membership meeting of the Massachusetts Republican Assembly. If you are a Republican in Massachusetts and are not yet a member, now is the time to join. To learn more about the MARA, visit: http://www.mass-republican-assembly.com.
