Obama Loves The Little Children, All the Children of the World…

the-light-workerIn the video below, young and impressionable public school students at New Jersey’s B. Bernice Young Elementary School are shown singing songs about President Obama, in one case to the tune of “Jesus Loves the Little Children,” and in another to the “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” No blasphemy intended, of course.

…He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama…

This video was apparently taken in February during Black History Month, but is just seeing the light of day now. Better late, than never. No word yet from the ACLU about the forced singing of songs by young public school students to the tune of “Jesus Loves the Little Children.”

Fact-Checking President Obama’s Health Care Talking Points

obama-care“If you misrepresent what’s in this plan, we will call you out,” President Obama warned in his health care address to Congress earlier this month.

Fair enough. But the President himself has made numerous claims during this debate that don’t meet the straight-face test.

When the President says that health care reform will not require anyone to drop their current coverage, he fails to account for an independent analysis by the Lewin Group showing that as many as 114 million Americans could lose their current coverage and instead end up on a government-run plan under House Democrats’ proposal (H.R. 3200.) Even the most conservative estimates say millions could be shifted to a government-run plan.

When the President pledges that reform will not add to the deficit, not even a little, he neglects to mention that House Democrats’ plan would increase the deficit by $239 billion over 10 years, according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office.

What’s worse, when the President insists that middle-class families won’t see a tax increase – as he did repeatedly during his recent appearance on ABC’s This Week – it’s as if he failed to read the health care bills altogether. On page 167 of H.R. 3200, the title of section 401 reads: “TAX ON INDIVIDUALS WITHOUT ACCEPTABLE HEALTH CARE COVERAGE.” The Associated Press didn’t mince words when it began a fact check piece, “Memo to President Obama: it’s a tax.” Continue reading ‘Fact-Checking President Obama’s Health Care Talking Points’

Media Analysis Says Baucus Health Care Bill Funds Abortion

abortion-noA new media analysis is verifying the contention of a pro-life group that says the new Baucus health care bill funds abortions. As is the case with HR 3200 and the Kennedy bill in the Senate, National Right to Life says the Baucus bill also contains massive abortion subsidies and mandates.

The Pulitzer-prize winning PolitiFact web site, operated by the St. Petersburg Times newspaper, is respected as a web site that looks into political claims.

In a new analysis released on Monday, it verifies as true the National Right to Life take on the Baucus bill that it “contains provisions that would send massive federal subsidies directly to both private insurance plans and government-chartered cooperatives that pay for elective abortion.”

“According to Baucus’ chairman’s mark, which provides a blueprint for the plan… health plans in the exchange or co-op [would not be] prohibited from providing abortion coverage,” the web site confirms.

“In fact, every state exchange would have to provide one plan that covers abortion,” the fact check continues.

Sarah Palin spoke in Hong Kong yesterday at the CLSA Investors Forum in her first speech since resigning as Governor of Alaska.

While there was no official media present, as the speech was closed to the public and to the press, this brief cell phone video clip of Palin’s speech was taken by one of the attendees.
