Below, is a handy “scorecard” created by that bastion of conservatism — The Washington Post — to help you keep track of all the President’s “czars.”
This particular list shows 30 of them, although estimates elsewhere cite higher figures. The scorecard shows the “czar” title as well as the “real” title of each individual, as well as which positions require U.S. Senate confirmation and which positions do not. Please note that according to the scorecard, all but one of President Obama’s newly created “czars” do not require U.S. Senate confirmation.
The scorecard is particularly helpful in answering the the “George W. Bush had czars, too” argument from the Left. The scorecard shows you which positions pre-existed the Obama Administration and which czars were created by President Obama. As you can tell from the chart below, the “new” czar positions already outnumber the “old” czar positions (17-13).

We usually only cover Rhode Island politics, but since this event is nearby — and like all good Republicans — we have a strong interest in getting rid of Rep. Barney Frank in 2010, we’re passing this along.
