Congressboy Patrick Kennedy’s likely Republican opponent, State Representative John J. Loughlin, has announced plans to host a health care “town hall” style meeting.
Loughlin’s town hall is scheduled to be held on September 30th at 5:30 PM at Brantal’s Restaurant, 91 Crandall Road, in Tiverton. Several medical professionals, including Edward J. Quinlan, president of the Hospital Association of Rhode Island, are scheduled to attend.
This is not a “political” event. It’s actually going to be a real discussion, with real questions and answers from the audience, about health care reform. This is something that Rep. Patrick Kennedy thus far has not found the time to do with his constituents in the First Congressional District.
Rep. Loughlin indicated that he will mail a DVD to Rep. Patrick Kennedy, since he’s very busy attending fundraisers and other events, including several in other states.
