Three busloads of people from Rhode Island went down to Washington, D.C. on Thursday to attend the rally against socialized healthcare at the U.S. Capitol.
After the rally, they and their fellow Americans went to make constituent “house calls” to their respective Representatives and Senators. Considering that this event was put on with less than a week’s notice, it went amazingly well. Depending on whose estimate you prefer to believe, there were between 20,000 and 50,000 people there for the rally.
Here is some video footage shot from atop the Dome of the United States Capitol, showing the crowd way down below chanting very loudly “Kill the Bill!.”
