It wasn’t terribly surprising that the Republican candidate in this race won, but the margin of victory was quite astonishing, considering that President Obama won Virginia just last year.
The gubernatorial results in the states of Virginia and even New Jersey have been cited by some as indicative of the results of mid-term congressional race going back to the mid-1960s. We’ll see. It’s certainly not bad news!
