John Loughlin is running for United States Congress against Rep. Patrick Kennedy!

This I know: The formal announcement will be next Thursday, February 4th at 12:00 PM in Lincoln. I should be able to provide additional detailed information shortly.

Video: Steve Laffey Headlines RI Tea Party Meeting

Well over 300 people turned out tonight at the Quonset “O” Club in North Kingstown for what turned out to be a phenomenal motivational speech and presentation by former Cranston Mayor Steve Laffey on what needs to be done to fix Rhode Island.

This report and video is from ABC6:

As the race for RI Governor heats up, one person who said they weren’t interested was former Cranston Mayor Steve Laffey. However, Laffey recently unveiled a plan to fix Rhode Island, focusing on financial stability.

That, combined with the fact that Laffey is headlining an event for the RI Tea Party on Wednesday, got the rumor mill churning once again. Will he or won’t he be running for Governor?

President Obama Disrespects Supreme Court at SOTU

During his State of the Union Address tonight, President Obama committed a significant breach of protocol by openly criticizing the members of the United States Supreme Court in his presence for their recent decision agreeing that free speech rights apply to American corporations (as well as unions, for our liberal friends).

After Obama insulted the court members, Associate Justice Samuel Alito can be seen shaking his head and mouthing what appeared to be the words “not true,” as the Democrats around the Supreme Court members stood and applauded around them.
