Since the last election, courageous officials in East Providence have been at the forefront of protecting long-suffering taxpayers, fighting entrenched special interests, and working hard for the greater good. While we have been winning the battles, we have not yet won the war.
The City of East Providence will be on the frontlines of the battle for Rhode Island in November 2010. Therefore, the East Providence Republican City Committee is waging a very ambitious effort to raise money, to recruit and support quality candidates for all elective offices. To meet our goals, we will need significant financial support from good people living outside of East Providence. You may say, “Why should I help Republicans in a city that I don’t live in?” The answer: Unlike in Las Vegas, what happens in East Providence isn’t going to stay in East Providence. If we don’t succeed, your city or town will be targeted next.
The East Providence Republican City Committee invites all reform-minded citizens to attend its Biggest Fundraiser Ever, the “Super Spring Spectacular.” This event will be held on Thursday, April 29th, 2010, at the Santa Maria Cultural Center, located at 846 Broadway, in East Providence, RI 02914, from 6:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. The event will feature Very Heavy Hors d’Oeuvres with a Cash Bar, a superb Silent Auction, great raffles and other surprises, as well as a top-notch Speaking Program of state and local GOP leaders.
Invited speakers include: Gov. Donald Carcieri; E.P. Assistant Mayor Robert Cusack; E.P. School Committee Vice Chair Steven Santos; RIGOP Chairman Gio Cicione; Gubernatorial candidate John Robitaille; R.I. Congressional candidates John Loughlin, Mark Zaccaria & William Clegg; Cranston Mayor Allan Fung; Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian; and R.I. Attorney General candidate Erik Wallin. Plus, hear from all of our great candidates for state and local office!
Tickets for this great event are affordably priced at only $25.00 per Person or $40.00 per Couple. R.I. Young Republicans may attend for only $15.00, and R.I. College Republicans may attend for FREE. In addition, children of all ages are FREE with a paying Adult. Tables of 8 are available for $160.00 a piece. Sponsorship Opportunities: Platinum: $1000, Gold: $500, Silver: $250, Bronze: $100. Even if you are unable to attend, your contribution in any amount will be gladly accepted.

I can’t decide which ranks higher on the ”Did he actually say that” meter. “overly partisan Congress” or “16-year entrenched incumbent” as both being uttered by the most partisan and in the system democrat in RI.
Let’s not forget his 2008 adds proclaiming “vote for change, vote democrat” in Rhode Island.
