Jamestowners kicked off the July 4th weekend with a big blast as State Republican candidates spoke Erik Wallin shares how he will crack down on public corruption in RI
to a standing room only crowd at Meet the Candidates, July 1st.
All four state candidates speaking received the RIGOP endorsement the night before at the Rhode Island Republican Convention. In attendance Thursday evening was John Robitaille running for Governor, Erik Wallin, running for Attorney General, Kernan “Kerry” King, running for Treasurer, and John Loughlin, running for US Congress RI-1.
“These candidates demonstrate there is strong unity within the Rhode Island Republican party” states Amy Gallagher, Chair of the Jamestown Republican Town Committee. “We’ve got big financial problems in this country and more so in Rhode Island. All four candidates recognize that the only way to help Rhode Islanders out of this bad economy is to create jobs, lower taxes, and reduce government. If voters want the same they need to be disciplined this fall and support these candidates.”
