Primary Update: RIRA GOTV and Election Night Event

Good evening,

It is Never the Wrong Time to do the Right Thing!!!

On the eve of the 2010 Primary Election in Rhode Island, I want to impress upon you the importance of your vote tomorrow, and in November and that of the votes of your family and friends whom you have been and will be contacting and encouraging to vote.

We Conservatives and Constitutionalists are setting the standard for which all can and will follow into the November General Election. We must not waiver, for now is the start of the peaceful revolution of change.

We have seen irresponsible budgets grow, taxes and user fees increase, and deficits soar due to a lack of leadership. The leadership must come from We The People, such leadership will let the politicians know we are watching, and we SHALL hold them accountable!!!

For if we shun our responsibility as Citizens tomorrow and in November, we shall forever loose the freedoms we grew up with and our children and grandchildren will never know.

As President of the Rhode Island Republican Assembly, I am personally asking each and every recipient of this newsletter to become an engage citizen, to seize control of your government and your tax dollars, and to exercise your right and responsibility tomorrow, Tuesday September 14, 2010 and go out and vote. I further ask that you engage at least five others to join you in this effort to reshape our future.

I ask that you consider and do support the candidates below that have been endorsed by the Rhode Island Republican Assembly:

Congressional District 1: John Loughlin

Congressional District 2: Mark Zaccaria

Governor: John Robitaille

House 31: Doreen Costa

House 65: Stephanie Santos Sivalingam

After we are all done voting and supporting our candidates tomorrow, I would like to invite you to join me in attending Gubernatorial Candidate John Robitaille and his hard working campaign team’s voting results rally at the Sheraton Inn at 1850 Post Road in Warwick, RI. The doors will open to friends, supporters, and well wishers at 8:00 p.m.

Remember !!!

Get Out The Vote (GOTV) is crucial as this IS the year for Conservative Change in our State and the nation. We the People, can no longer afford to sit at home and hope things will change for the better. We must be engaged; We must be active; WE MUST VOTE !!!

Make sure all your family and friends who want TRUE and REAL Conservative change get to the polling places and vote in support of RIRA’s Endorsed Candidates.

If you do not vote for change, who will?

If you do not vote for change Tuesday, then when?

Conservatively Yours,

Raymond T. McKay
President, RIRA

RIRA Primary Endorsements and GOTV

Over the summer, the Rhode Island Republican Assembly held its endorsement convention and endorsed many candidates that applied for the organization’s endorsement.

The following candidates that are involved in the Primary election this Tuesday have been endorsed by the Rhode Island Republican Assembly:

Congressional District 1: John Loughlin

Congressional District 2: Mark Zaccaria

Governor: John Robitaille

House 31: Doreen Costa

House 65: Stephanie Santos Sivalingam

RIRA encourages all Primary Voters to vote for these candidates, if you have the option to, this Tuesday, September 14, 2010. This is an important election as it will shape our November election which will enable the legal Citizens of Rhode Island to take back their state from the 70 years of Democrat and government union control.

Chris Christie Nukes Union Teacher at Town Hall

Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ) was confronted by a school teacher at a recent town hall meeting. In his response, he discusses the teachers’ union and the need for shared sacrifice, in spite of public employee unions and their hateful, destructive tactics. Way to go, Gov!

Rhode Island Republican Assembly Meeting | September 9

Rhode Island’s largest conservative organization (and sponsor of this blog), the RHODE ISLAND REPUBLICAN ASSEMBLY, will hold its next general meeting on Thursday, September 9th, 2010.

Our guest speaker for the meeting will be Anastasia Eurton from the Minority Advancement & Research Council (MARC). In addition, there will also be a presentation by Julie Martin and Evan Gillissie from the Teenage Republicans (TARS).

The meeting will be held in the lower-level of the Tri-City Elk’s Lodge No. 14, at 1915 West Shore Road, in Warwick. For those wishing to eat before the RIRA meeting, a pasta buffet dinner is available between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. The cost for dinner is about $10.00 per person. It is “all you can eat” and generally includes pasta, meatballs, soup, salad, and dessert. There is also a Cash Bar available. The RIRA business meeting starts promptly at 7:00PM, and generally lasts until around 9:00PM.

The RIRA is the Rhode Island affiliate of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, a thoughtful national organization of GOP conservatives working to grow and strengthen the Republican Party in the tradition of President Ronald Reagan. This is a dinner meeting, and if you want to eat, you pay for your own meal. Any like-minded conservative Republican is welcome to attend.

For more information, please contact RIRA President Ray McKay at president [at] ri-ra [dot] org or NFRA Northeast Region Vice President Will Ricci at NEVP [at] ri-ra [dot] org or visit the RIRA web site at http://www.ri-ra.org.

PS We fully understand that some of our members, especially those who are candidates, may not be able to make it to this monthly RIRA meeting due to the proximity of this meeting to the September 14th Primary. Please attend if you can, but if you cannot, we understand … just as long as you are doing something to advance the conservative Republican cause!
