The following names were put forth to the Rhode Island Republican Assembly’s Endorsement Convention on June 12, 2010 and have been endorsed based on our by-laws.
That time is now !!!

Friends never let family and friends vote the wrong way – get the word out to vote for the Conservative candidates.

Some conservatives missed the RIRA convention and were not endorsed by RIRA. We ask that you help them into office as well.

God’s speed and blessings to you, your family, friends, and our hard working candidates and all their volunteers and staff.

These are my national predictions, based on my analysis of lots of polling data and other factors. I am certain that the GOP will not only retake the House, but by a significant margin. I predict a net gain of 64 to 67 House seats.

As for the Senate, I predict a net gain of 8 to 11 seats, with CA, AK, & WA too close to call. We need 10 for control.

As for the governorships, I predict a net gain of 9+ for the GOP.

When I announced my intention to run for Governor almost a year ago now, I knew that my campaign would be an uphill battle against ‘the forces that be’ in Rhode Island politics. For almost a year now you have helped me amass a successful campaign and have put me in contention to be your next Governor. I am humbled and grateful for all of the help and support that you have all offered me. I am writing you one more time to ask for your help.

Tomorrow, November 2nd, is a critical day for all Rhode Islanders. The candidates that you elect to office will be responsible for shaping the policy that will drive this state for years to come. My message has been clear: Career politicians created this mess and they can’t fix it, but together WE can.

I am a native Rhode Islander. I was born in Central Falls, attended Providence College and served in the US Army. I have been a small business owner for over twenty years and I know the difficulties that come with running a business in Rhode Island. I have made a promise to you that I will work day and night to bring Rhode Island back to prosperity. We must lower taxes, reduce the size of government and stream-line permitting and regulations to create jobs.

While my opponents have spent millions of dollars attacking each other, I have run a positive campaign to get my message out to all of you. In times like these we must focus on the issues at hand, not the habitual mudslinging that has crippled this state for years. I am the only candidate in this race that has signed a pledge to veto any tax increase that comes across my desk. In times like these, the last thing we need is to place a heavier burden on the citizens of this great state.

Together we have overcome tremendous obstacles to bring common sense back to Rhdoe Island. I am in a virtual three-way tie and need your help in these final hours to pull me across the finish line. I urge you to tell your friends, family and neighbors to vote tomorrow. In a race this close, every vote will count. My name is John Robitaille, I am running for Governor of Rhode Island, and I would be honored to have your vote tomorrow, November 2nd.

Sincerely,

John Robitaille

John Robitaille is the only candidate for governor who has never supported raising taxes, who will not take marching orders from the public employee unions and who will stand up to the abuses of the General Assembly. John Robitaille is surging toward victory while his opponents continue hurling insults at one another and attempting damage control.

John Robitaille is the leading choice for Governor among independent and Republican voters and, as recent polls have shown, John is the only candidate for Governor who can defeat Lincoln Chafee and his agenda of higher taxes and special interest appeasement.

The rest of the world finally sees what we have known all along – Republican candidates are poised to win their elections in Rhode Island tomorrow, but now it is up to us – and us alone. Advertising and debates cannot guaranty victory – but our time and commitment will.

PLEASE VOTE FOR JOHN ROBITAILLE AND OUR OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES TOMORROW AND ENSURE THAT WE CHART A NEW PATH FOR RHODE ISLAND:

John Robitaille for Governor: (401) 781-5646

Catherine Taylor for Secretary of State: (401) 575-6166

Kerry King for General Treasurer: (401) 942-1190

Erik Wallin for Attorney General: (401) 921-5001

John Loughlin for Congress: (401) 383-1818

Mark Zaccaria for Congress: (401) 742-9889

OUR CANDIDATES OF THE RI CLEAN SLATE ALSO NEED YOUR VOTES TOMORROW. If you have not yet received your RI Clean Slate Voter Guide by email, please visit our website at: ricleanslate.com or email: info [at] ricleanslate [dot] com.

Finally, we still need volunteers to help our candidates at the polls and to make phone calls to get our supporters into the voting booth. Whichever candidate you choose to help, please join us for as much time as you can spare. The synergy of hundreds of local, state and federal campaigns and their thousands of volunteers working together will lift our candidates to victory.

To find out how you can help, please email: contact [at] rigop [dot] org, call 732-8282, or get in touch with one of our campaigns.

Every Election Day presents choices, choices about a field of candidates and choices about the direction citizens want Rhode Island to take.

Which Course to Take?

During his term as Governor, Governor Carcieri set some goals and has chartered a clear course to reach those objectives:

Create a Jobs-Friendly Climate

For Rhode Island to attract businesses and, with them, jobs, there is an on-going need to control government spending and to lower taxes. We have made significant progress over the last several years, saving hundreds of millions of dollars, holding the line on taxes, and lowering personal income tax rates.

Reform Education

We will not compete in the 21st century economy unless our young people receive an excellent education, particularly in math and science. With Commissioner Gist and the Board of Regents, we have set in place a high-performing leadership team. The award of Race to the Top funds validates the reforms we have made. We have established curriculum standards matched with high-quality testing, rigorous graduation requirements, databases to track student performance and to evaluate teacher effectiveness, championed charter schools, redesigned adult education, and tied education and workforce development together. The stage is set for tremendous progress to be made.

Invest in Transportation Infrastructure

From the Iway that eases traffic flow and opens acres of land for business development, to the Interlink Station at T.F. Green Airport that creates a transportation hub of planes, trains, cars, and buses, to the freight rail improvements and new highway connector at Quonset that has made that a major job center, to rebuilding the Pawtucket and Sakonnet bridges, key investments have been made with an eye to their impact for the future.

Position RI to compete in the New Economy

A century ago, RI was one of the most prosperous states in the country. We can achieve that again. Now, we are building strengths in biotechnology, marine and life sciences, digital design, advanced manufacturing, financial services, and renewable energy. We have set into place the building blocks for that future with a whole new Economic Development structure, greater access to capital, major investments in higher education infrastructure, provision of new tools for science and math education, new companies setting down roots in RI, and taking steps to lead the nation in the offshore wind industry.

RI Must Continue Moving Forward

There are many interests that want to keep things the way they’ve been for decades or, worse, undo the reforms and progress Governor Carcieri has made. By choosing wisely on Election Day, we can ensure that we do not fall back into the old way of doing things. Be sure to vote.

We find ourselves less than two days away from one of the most important elections in this generation.

The American conservative voters and other like-minded voters throughout our state and nation now realize that our government can no longer be sustained at its current levels and that structural changes must be made at all levels of government and by all citizens.

Waking up in the morning and expecting money from the government is not the American way, nor is it what made this country great. Rhode Island’s budget shortfalls these past several years, which have been plugged by federal money, not by changes in Rhode Island government, is proof that out state and municipal governments’ way of doing business is broken and that we need and demand change.

Zebras do not change the colors of their stripes, nor will the one-party system we have in the General Assembly change itself overnight for the betterment of the people. Time and time again, the Democrats in the General Assembly have sided with unions and those looking for handouts, not with those looking to create prosperity in Rhode Island.

The answer to our financial problems is certainly NOT to increase state taxes. We must embrace one nation, one people, one language — for “United we Stand” a strong American People. Divided, we shall surely fall into the world of Socialism that will wipe out the middle class.

Change must start on many levels, from the Congress, to our Statewide offices, to the General Assembly, and all the way down to the local level.

We must all sit with our friends and family to Get Out The Vote for change. While this is one communication, it does not reach the approximately 600,000 possible voters in Rhode Island. For real change to take affect, YOU MUST become a grassroots activist and encourage your family and friends over the next day and a half to vote the Right Way this Tuesday. The polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Everyone should be able to find time within that fourteen (14) hour span to vote for the Right Change.

The following individuals were nominated and endorsed at the Rhode Island Republican Assembly’s Biennial Endorsement Convention back on June 12th, 2010. They were endorsed based on our by-laws, which require a two-thirds vote of those members present and eligible to vote. To the best of our knowledge — and we pay close attention — NO candidate listed has compromised his or her standing throughout the campaign season for RIRA to consider revoking their endorsement.

The 2010 RIRA endorsed candidates are:

U.S. Congress, District 1: JOHN LOUGHLIN

U.S. Congress, District 2: MARK ZACCARIA

R.I. Governor: JOHN ROBITAILLE

R.I. General Treasurer: KERNAN “KERRY” KING

R.I. Attorney General: ERIK WALLIN

RHODE ISLAND STATE SENATE:

Steve Gerling – District 18
Dawson Hodgson – District 35
Beth Moura – District 19
Dr. Chris Ottiano – District 11

RHODE ISLAND HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES:

Representative Brian Newberry – District 48
Representative Joseph Trillo – District 24
Donald Botts – District 16
Timothy Burchett – District 34
Giovanni Calise – District 25
Michael Chippendale – District 40
Thomas Clupny – District 62
Doreen Costa – District 31
Phil Duquette – District 33
Daniel Gordon – District 71
William Grapentine – District 69
Michael Grossi – District 58
Matthew Guerra – District 46
James Halderman – District 35
Jennifer Hirons – District 44
Michael Picillo – District 39
Daniel Reilly – District 72
Erich Sturn – District 4

In closing, I again ask that you please sit with your family and friends over the next day and a half and discuss voting for a new lease on life by voting for the above candidates. YOU and your vote can make the change! YOU are the activist! YOU must get your friends and family out to vote so that their votes, along with yours, will ensure that change happens!

Thank you for your time and attention to this important issue.

God’s speed and blessings to you, your family, friends, and our hard working candidates and all their volunteers and staff.

Conservatively Yours,

Raymond T. McKay

Mayor Allan Fung today expressed his extreme disappointment with the misleading political mailer distributed by the Lincoln Group to Cranston residents. This mailer caused some residents to believe that Mayor Fung had implicitly endorsed Lincoln Chafee for Governor.

“I endorsed Republican John Robitaille several weeks ago and he has my continued support,” stated Fung. “I strongly feel that he’s the best candidate to lead our state through these difficult fiscal times. It is unfortunate that the Lincoln Group feels a need to resort to misrepresentations for political gain.”

“I’ll be joining John tomorrow at 3:30pm at Taco Manufacturing in Cranston as a show of my support for his candidacy for Governor.”
