RI Republican Assembly Meeting | January 12

This is a reminder that Rhode Island’s largest Conservative organization, the RHODE ISLAND REPUBLICAN ASSEMBLY, will hold its next meeting on Thursday, January 12th, 2012.

The RIRA monthly meeting will be held in the lower-level of Tri-City Elk’s Lodge No. 14, at 1915 West Shore Road, in Warwick. For those wishing to eat before the RIRA meeting commences, dinner is available between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. The cost for dinner is about $8.00 per person. There is also a Cash Bar available. The RIRA business meeting begins at 7:00PM.

Agenda will mainly focus on 2012 membership renewals, the recent RIGOP election, the recent RIRA Christmas Party, and plans for winning in 2012.

The RIRA is the Rhode Island affiliate of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, a thoughtful national organization of GOP conservatives working to grow and strengthen the Republican Party in the tradition of President Ronald Reagan. This is a dinner meeting, and if you want to eat, you pay for your own meal. Any like-minded conservative Republican is welcome to attend.

RI Republican Party Special Election Meeting | Wednesday

This is a reminder that the special election meeting to choose the next Chair of the Rhode Island Republican Party will be held this Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 at 7:00 P.M.

The special election meeting will be held at the RI Shriners – Imperial Room, at One Rhodes Place, in Cranston, where the prior two RIGOP meetings have been held — and where we just held the RIRA 7th Annual Christmas Dinner Party on Saturday night.

Of course, only credentialed RIGOP Delegates or their Designated Alternates may vote in this special election, but anyone can attend to observe. Any questions concerning the meeting can be referred to the RIGOP office at (401) 732-8282.

RIGOP State Central Committee Meeting | December 21

The special election meeting to elect the new Chair of the Rhode Island Republican Party will be held on Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 at 7:00 P.M.

The meeting will be held at the RI Shriners, One Rhodes Place, in Cranston, where the prior two RIGOP meetings have been held — and where the upcoming RIRA 7th Annual Christmas Dinner Party will also be held (on Saturday, December 17th… register online at http://ri-ra.org/christmasparty/).

As usual, only RIGOP Delegates or their Designated Alternates may vote in this election, but anyone can attend to observe the fun. Questions concerning the meeting can be referred to the RIGOP office at (401) 732-8282.

Additional dates: The RIGOP Executive Committee will meet on Wednesday, December 7th. The RIGOP Nominations Committee will meet on Sunday, December 18th. Members of those committees will be notified of the meeting times and locations.

RI Republican State Central Committee Meeting | Tonight!

The Rhode Island Republican State Central Committee will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, November 16th, 2011, at 7:00 PM. Please arrive early for Check-In, as attendance is expected to be larger than usual. The RIGOP Executive Committee will hold a brief meeting at 6:30 pm.

The venue for the meeting will be the same as for the October meeting: Shrine Masons of Rhode Island, 1 Rhodes Place, Cranston, RI 02905. (The Shriners’ building is in front of Rhodes-on-the-Pawtuxet at Broad Street).

During the October meeting there was the formal reading and comment about the RIGOP by-law amendment #1 about modifying the eligibility criteria for future Republican primaries. There will be limited time available for discussion of that by-law amendment for those who feel it necessary and then there will be a vote by secret ballot. This amendment requires a two-thirds vote for approval.

Only RIGOP Delegates or their Designated Alternates may vote, although anyone can attend. This is the last scheduled RIGOP meeting of 2011.

The Rhode Island Republican State Central Committee will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, November 16th, 2011, at 7:00 PM. Please arrive early for Check-In. The RIGOP Executive Committee will be meeting at 6:30 pm for a brief meeting.

The venue for the meeting will be the same as for the October meeting: Shrine Masons of Rhode Island, 1 Rhodes Place, Cranston, RI 02905. (The Shriners’ building is in front of Rhodes on the Pawtuxet). During the October meeting there was the formal reading and a lot of comment about the RIGOP by-laws amendment regarding Republican primaries.

There will be limited time available for discussion of the amendment for those who feel it necessary and then there will be a secret ballot vote. This is the last scheduled RIGOP meeting of 2011, so please try to make an extra effort to attend.

RI Republican Assembly Meeting | Thursday

This is a reminder that Rhode Island’s largest Conservative organization, the RHODE ISLAND REPUBLICAN ASSEMBLY, will hold its next meeting on Thursday, November 10th, 2011.

The RIRA monthly meeting will be held in the lower-level of Tri-City Elk’s Lodge No. 14, at 1915 West Shore Road, in Warwick. The main agenda item will have to do with “GOTV” for the vote on Wednesday, November 16th (at the RIGOP meeting) regarding the RI Republican Primary. We have a special project which we will need help with following the business meeting. The guest speaker for the meeting will be Terry Gorman from Rhode Islanders for Immigration Law Enforcement (RIILE), who will be talking with us about in-state tuition for illegal alien students. We will also be discussing the U.N.’s Agenda 21.
