John Loughlin today announced that he has been endorsed by the Combat Veterans for Congress.
“I am honored to be endorsed by the Combat Veterans for Congress. My years in the military – whether flying a helicopter, working in a war zone or helping others prepare for their tour of duty – were some of the best of my life. I am proud to have served our country and look forward to serving once again in Washington, D.C.”
“The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is pleased to have endorsed Lt. Col. John Loughlin, USAR (Ret.) to run for Congress in Rhode Island’s First Congressional District,” said Capt Joseph R. John, USNR (Ret), Chairman and Co-Founder of the Combat Veterans For Congress PAC. “At a time when our national security is of utmost importance and the welfare of our servicemen and women is in jeopardy, we need leaders who truly understand what it takes to keep this country strong, the type of leaders who will continue to safeguard the principals laid down in the US Constitution by our Founding Fathers.”
“Today, more than ever in our country’s history, we need strong voices in Congress to rein in the out of control spending by the current unprincipled and irresponsible Congress. Representative John Loughlin is just the patriot who is up to the task – he spent more than twenty-six years in the service of our country, and as Minority Whip in the Rhode Island House of Representative he has demonstrated that he can handle an important leadership position.”
“We are grateful that Lt. Col. Loughlin is answering the call to duty once more, as are 22 other endorsed Combat Veterans for Congress in 16 states. As a native born Rhode Islander who is vitally concerned about our state, and has spent every summer in Rhode Island for 40 years, I encourage my fellow Rhode Islanders to select a Congressman who will focus on creating jobs and improving the economy, and not on spending $3 trillion on a health care bill we cannot afford.”
Representative John J. Loughlin II is the Republican candidate for Congress in RI-1.
