HUGE Rhode Island Young Republicans Event | Saturday Night

RIYRUPDATE: The RIYR party just blew expectations out of the water. Literally hundreds of Young Republicans and others came to the Brick Alley pub and enjoyed quite possibly the biggest and best R.I. Republican party ever. Great job!

As we all know by now, the Rhode Island Young Republicans really know how to throw a [Republican] party. On Saturday night, they will host the biggest and best one yet, with Young Republicans from all over the Northeastern United States.

Every month, the RIYR’s hold a social event at different restaurants around the state. The October event is being held in conjunction with the Republican National Committee’s Northeast Regional Conference, which is being held in Newport, from Friday through Sunday.

The Rhode Island Young Republicans party is a stand-alone event (you do not have to be registered for the RNC Conference). Although the event is heavily geared towards 20 and 30-somethings, Republicans of any age are welcome to attend.

The big event is going to be held on Saturday at the Brick Alley Pub on historic Thames Street in Newport, from 8:00 PM to at least 12:00 AM. There will be a number of great guest speakers including Congressman and GOP Policy Chairman Thaddeus McCotter of Michigan.

If you have ever attended RIYR monthly social events in the past, this is really THE Rhode Island Young Republican event that you do not want to miss. If you haven’t been to one yet, let this be your introduction to the “new and improved” YR’s. This event will be fully catered all night long with a cash bar. After normal conference hours on Saturday, October 3rd, we will be at the Brick Alley Pub in Downtown Newport with other YRs from across New England, as well as many other conference attendees.

Important!! This is the event that is going to take the RI Young Republicans to the next level, allowing us to make numerous contacts from throughout the region, while also raising the funds we’ll need to effectively support RIGOP candidates in 2010. So please show your support on October 3rd!!!

RNC Northeast Regional Conference Begins Today in Newport

RNCEvery election cycle, each of the four regions of the Republican National Committee holds an RNC Regional Conference. This year, Rhode Island is very proud to be the host of the RNC Regional Leadership Conference, which will occur from Friday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 5th, at the Marriott Hotel on America’s Cup Boulevard, in Newport.

An excellent line up of speakers are expected to attend, including:

RI Governor Donald Carcieri, VT Governor Jim Douglas, Congressman Thaddeus McCotter of Michigan, Congressman Aaron Schock of Illinois, RNC Chief of Staff Ken McKay, Former NH Governor John Sununu, Former Congressman Rod Simmons, Former Lt Gov. Kerry Healy of Massachusetts, and a number of political candidates, as well as conservative commentator and author, Tony Blankley. In addition, there will be grassroots training and presentations by several national polling firms, national media strategists, and GOTV experts.

The purpose of the event is to inform and energize our Republican base and allow for a discussion of issues, ideas and training for Grassroots Republican Leaders throughout the Northeast. Invited are: All Grassroots Supporters, State & Local Republican Leaders, Central Committee Members, Elected Officials, Major Donors and interested Republicans.

The cost for Conference Registration is relatively low at $125.00, to make it affordable for as many party activists as possible. This fee includes meeting rooms, an opening cocktail party, two breakfasts and one lunch, as well as all conference materials.

If you have not already registered, you can register “at the door” on Friday afternoon.

PS Of course, we’d be remiss to remind you about Rhode Island Young Republicans “after party” at the Brick Alley Pub on Thames Street, from 8:00 PM to Midnight on Saturday. $20.00 cover charge & cash bar. Biggest Republican party ever!

A tentative agenda for the event is including in this prior post.

RI Young Republicans to Host ‘After Hours’ @ RNC Northeast Conference | October 3

RIYRRHODE ISLAND YOUNG REPUBLICANS TO HOST AFTER HOURS — WILL FEATURE NUMEROUS REGIONAL AND NATIONAL DIGNITARIES IN NEWPORT

Despite being busy exposing the many pitfalls of big government and the dangers of endorsing a lopsided State Congress, the Rhode Island Young Republicans (RIYRs) are pleased to announce a post-conference reception following the Republican Northeast Conference in Newport on October 3rd.

Taking place at the famous Brick Alley Pub on Thames Street, the RIYRs will welcome numerous guests and dignitaries, including RI Governor Don Carcieri, RNC Chief of Staff Ken McKay, and RIGOP Chairman Giovanni Cicione.

Beginning at 8:00 p.m., the event will feature a silent auction and many surprise guests – but unlike the White House and numerous ACORN offices around the country, all visitors will be fully accounted for.

“Sometimes there’s no better way to build a Party than by just throwing a party. And that’s what we’re going to do,” said Travis Rowley, chairman of the RIYRs. “We’re pleased to host this event for the attendees of the Republican Northeast Conference, and anybody else who is counting down the days until January 20, 2013. Democrats are welcome. But they have to pay double.”

ABOUT THE RI YOUNG REPUBLICANS

The RIYRs are a body of Rhode Islanders, primarily in their 20s and 30s, representing people of many different stripes – police officers and firemen, moms and dads, entrepreneurs and business owners, teachers and students, lawyers and doctors. Under the name “Republican” we represent a diverse crowd of unabashed conservatives, libertarians, and traditionalists, who all defend the American values of individualism, freedom, capitalism, and a moral order. – For more info, visit http://www.rhodeislandyr.com/
